US becomes Vietnam's largest tuna export market

According to the  Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), the United States will become Vietnam’s largest tuna export market in 2022, with tuna exports to the United States accounting for 44% of total exports.

In 2022, Vietnam's tuna exports to the United States will reach US$487 million, a year-on-year increase of 44%. According to the results, the United States became Vietnam's largest tuna export market, accounting for 44% of the total export value.

VASEP forecasts that in the first quarter of 2023, exports to the United States will tend to be lower due to lower demand for tuna in the United States and high stocks in Vietnam.
