Leisure fishery is an organic combination of fishery and leisure entertainment, sightseeing tourism, ecological construction, cultural heritage, scientific popularization, and catering, providing products and services to meet people's leisure needs.

In July 2022, Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources (Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Marine Fisheries) launched the preparation of the Special Plan for the Development of Leisure Fisheries in Shenzhen, which will comprehensively sort out and systematically deploy the development of leisure fisheries.
