China Angling: By 2028, China's fishing gear exports will reach 31.8 billion US dollars

Six out of every 10 fishing rods in the world come from Weihai, Shandong. 80% of the world's fishing gear is produced in China, and Weihai's fishing gear industry accounts for more than 70% of it. It can be seen that Weihai's fishing gear enterprises have great potential for development. Ming Pingdong, head of the Weihai Local Service Center of Alibaba International Station, revealed that since 2019, the fishing tackle industry in the Alibaba International Station platform market has grown year-on-year, exceeding 20% year-on-year. It is estimated that by 2028, China's fishing tackle exports will reach 31.8 billion US dollars, with a compound growth rate of 4.2%.

Weihai is known as the "Fishing Tackle Capital of China". More than 4,000 fishing tackle production and trading enterprises are thriving in the entire fishing tackle industry chain, with an annual output value of more than 2.8 billion US dollars.
