On October 30th, 20 tons of live king crabs from the Arctic Ocean entered China through the Jimunai Port. This is the first time that China has imported live aquatic animals from the Arctic Ocean through land transportation, and the direct land import channel from the Arctic Ocean to China has been opened simultaneously.
The entire journey from the Arctic Ocean production area to Jimunai Port only took 6 days, "Zhang Junchuan, the person in charge of the enterprise that imported this batch of king crabs, told reporters. These 5 live king crabs have good quality, less travel loss, and a higher survival rate than air transportation.
The rapid import of live king crabs is thanks to the designated supervision site for imported aquatic animals by Yoshimune. On the 10th, Yoshimune obtained approval from the General Administration of Customs to use the designated supervision site for imported aquatic animals. In just 20 days, live king crabs from the Arctic Ocean were imported.
After comparing the efficiency, losses, and costs of import clearance, Zhang Junchuan believes that this land import route from the Arctic Ocean to China has great potential. In two or three days, this batch of live king crabs will be transported by road to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other places. It is planned to import another 15 trucks of live king crabs in November, "said Zhang Junchuan.
Since the beginning of this year, fresh products such as sea bass, bream, and dogfish from Kazakhstan and other countries have been pouring in through the Jimunai Port channel. From January to September, 710 tons of imported fresh food have safely and efficiently entered the domestic market through the Jimunai Port, and trucks loaded with king crabs have successfully entered the country, marking a new breakthrough in the Jimunai Port's aquatic trade and a new "track" of differentiation.
