On November 1st, the international scientific event known as the "Olympic Games of the Aquarium Industry" - IAC International Aquarium Conference, successfully completed the flag laying ceremony at its 12th venue in Guadalajara, Mexico. As the venue for the 13th conference, Haihe An Wuhan Polar Ocean Park has brought its flag back to Wuhan under global attention. This marks the official countdown to the 13th International Aquarium Conference in 2027, and also marks the second landing of this international scientific event, known as the "Aquarium Industry Olympics," in China after Shanghai in 2008.
The International Aquarium Conference is one of the most influential events in the aquarium industry. Since the first conference was held in 1960, it has been held every three years. The conference aims to promote exchanges and cooperation among the global aquarium community, scientific research community, and popular science education community, sharing the latest research results and management experience.
According to Tan Wencheng, General Manager of Haihe'an Wuhan Polar Ocean Park, as a co builder of a beautiful city in Wuhan, the park has been deeply rooted in Wuhan for 13 years and has always grown together with the city. Whether in terms of scale, population and water volume, or biological display and conservation breeding technology, the oceanarium ranks among the top in China. The park has become the largest marine themed comprehensive resort and representative of urban tourism landmarks in Central China. Prior to the conference, a science popularization education museum covering an area of approximately 2000 square meters will be constructed with the theme of aquatic organisms and freshwater ecological protection in the Yangtze River Basin. The museum aims to promote the cause of ecological protection of the Yangtze River through public education and promotion. Let more people see, hear and participate, and use their own power to influence public understanding and attention to aquatic biodiversity, and protect the life of the Yangtze River.
