2024 China (Qingdao) International Fisheries Expo
The 27th China Fisheries&Seafood Expo was held in Qingdao from October 30 to November 1, 2024, and Chile has joined the most important gathering of the global aquaculture community for several consecutive years. More than 1,602 enterprises from 51 countries and regions participated in this year's Fisheries Expo, with an exhibition scale of 110,000 square meters, attracting professional visitors from more than 80 countries and regions to visit the exhibition. This time, 13 enterprises from Chile participated in the exhibition, and their products included salmon, mussels, cod, king crab, giant squid and so on.
Located on the west coast of South America, Chile is endowed with rich marine resources and favorable geographical conditions, forming a diversified seafood industry. Major seafood products include: salmon: Chile is the world's second largest producer of salmon, with a highly developed salmon farming industry and excellent product quality, which is popular in the international market. Mussels: Chilean mussels have become a popular product in the global consumer market due to their tasty meat and rich nutrition. Cod: Chilean frozen cod is an important source of supply for the international market, mainly for the catering and processing industries. Shellfish and other seafood: These include a wide variety of shellfish, fish and seaweed, which are in good demand in both local and international markets. In recent years, Chile has also continued to explore more possibilities in the seafood sector and is committed to promoting the sustainable development of the industry, becoming a healthy, reliable and nutritious supplier of seafood to consumers around the world.
