Tuna prices rise in Bangkok, Thailand, as fishing activity slows in the Western Pacific in October. Thai sources said that fishing conditions in the Western Pacific were poor, with some vessels catching only 20-25 tons a day. Shipowners were offering prices at $1,400-1,450/ton, while canneries were trying to push prices down to $1,350-1,400/ton.

Tuna in Licheng District, Jinan City, Shandong Province is about 43.31 yuan/jin;
Tuna in Liwan District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province is about 50.5 yuan/jin;
Tuna in Shanglin County, Nanning City, Guangxi Province is about 58 yuan/jin;
Tuna in Baoshan District, Shanghai City is about 62 yuan/jin.
Price information of the international market:
Bangkok, Thailand: The sellers offer bonito (a type of tuna) at up to 1400-1450 USD/ton, up 100-150 USD/ton compared to September;
Philippines: The price of bonito is 1400 USD/ton, close to the price in Thailand;
Manta, Ecuador: The price of bonito raw materials has risen to 1450-1500 USD/ton;
Spain: The price of bonito is stable at 1500-1550 Euro/ton, and the price of yellowfin tuna is 2550 Euro/ton.
Vigo, Spain: Chinese companies quoted 10-20kg whole fish at $1,650/ton FOB, and fish fillet at $3,950/ton FOB; whole fish CFR price is $1,850/ton, and fish fillet CFR price is $4,150/ton; yellowfin tuna fillet price is $5,600/ton.
