This year, the Economic Development Department of the South Australian government will once again lead nearly 30 excellent brands from South Australia to join the Australian booth (Hall 2.2 B5-01) set up at the Food and Agriculture Pavilion of the CIIE.

These brands will bring a variety of exhibits including seafood, wine, packaged foods, dairy products, meat, beverages, and agricultural products, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the excellent quality of South Australia's agriculture and food and beverage industry up close.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese recently announced that exports of southern Australian rock lobster to China will resume by the end of this year and are expected to resume before the Chinese New Year.

The southern rock lobster, which is abundant in South Australia and inhabits the cold Southern Ocean, is considered one of the must visit delicacies for food lovers around the world. Compared to rock lobsters from other regions, southern rock lobsters are larger in size, with a sweet, delicate, and compact white body, as well as a rich oceanic flavor and abundant meat shell ratio. They are truly unique, rich, and charming "luxury items on the plate".

Meanwhile, according to the latest data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, as of August 2024, the total value of seafood exports from South Australia reached AUD 155.5 million, highlighting the significant advantage of South Australia in the seafood industry.
