After the National Day, the squid market price showed an overall upward trend, setting a record high. Southeast Pacific squid led the increase, with prices of multiple specifications exceeding 20,000 yuan, and the highest price of some specifications even reaching 23,000 yuan/ton. Southwest Atlantic squid also rose strongly, with each specification increasing by more than 1,000 yuan/ton. At the same time, the price of small-sized North Pacific squid also rose sharply to a high of 24,000 yuan/ton, while the prices of medium-sized North Pacific squid and Indian Ocean squid remained stable.

At present, the supply of squid is tight in the market, and the trend of high prices is expected to continue. Processing companies and downstream market participants need to be prepared to cope with the challenge of rising costs.
