On January 3, 2025, the cooked frozen shrimp imported from Thailand completed import customs clearance, inspection and quarantine procedures for the first time through the cross-border freight train transportation of the China-Laos Railway, and was successfully delivered to the Mingpinfu cold chain warehouse in Kunming Economic Development Zone.
As the return shipper, Kunming Branch of China Railway Container Company is another important attempt after the China-Laos Railway in the cold chain transportation of imported durian, mangosteen and other tropical fruits. Starting from actively connecting with customers and understanding their needs, tracking the logistics plan design link, monitoring the overseas section, port and end-to-end transportation routes and time efficiency, communicating with ASEAN international logistics companies in advance, coordinating transportation plans and waybill production, and continuously improving service quality to ensure that the first batch of fresh products from Thailand can enter the country smoothly through the China-Laos Railway with the fastest time efficiency and the lowest logistics cost. Compared with traditional sea and road transportation, this innovative road-rail combined transport mode shortens the entire transportation time by about 14 days, effectively reducing transportation costs and improving logistics efficiency.
