Vietnam’s shrimp farming output reaches 1,106.9 thousand tons in the first 10 months of 2024

Notably, brackish water shrimp farming output reached 1,106.9 thousand tons, up 5% year-on-year. Of this, black tiger shrimp output rose to 234.8 thousand tons, a 2.6% increase, and whiteleg shrimp output reached 798.9 thousand tons, growing 5.8%. 

Vietnam's total fishery production in the first 10 months of 2024 is estimated at 7,889.8 thousand tons, a 2.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Aquaculture contributed approximately 4,612.5 thousand tons, while capture fisheries accounted for 3,277.3 thousand tons.
