The report shows that in 2023, the crayfish aquaculture area was 29.5 million mu and the output was 3.161 million tons, an increase of 5.36% and 9.35% respectively year-on-year, continuing to maintain rapid growth. The crayfish aquaculture output accounts for 9.26% of the total freshwater aquaculture output in China. Among them, the comprehensive cultivation area of rice and crayfish is 25.3 million mu, and the output of crayfish is 2.75 million tons, accounting for more than 80% of the national crayfish cultivation area and output. The processing capacity of crayfish is 1.4023 million tons, accounting for 44.36% of the crayfish aquaculture production, and the utilization rate of crayfish processing has further increased. The scale of crayfish circulation is constantly expanding, channels are constantly expanding, efficiency is constantly improving, and the modern circulation system of crayfish is constantly improving. The price of crayfish has decreased year-on-year, with slightly earlier listing and delisting times compared to previous years. Except for a higher price in the first quarter, prices are generally lower than in 2022. The export volume and value of crayfish have both decreased, with a trade surplus of about 100 million US dollars.
