The Russian Ministry of Fisheries stated that the price increase of red caviar is insufficient

The price increase of Russian red caviar is not enough, especially considering the remaining delicious dishes from last year. Vasily Sokolov, Deputy Director of the Federal Fisheries Agency, stated on November 15th.

Vasily Sokolov pointed out that spawning salmon flowed into rivers in large quantities to lay eggs in 2024, which was lower than in 2023 but a record at the time. Therefore, Russia still has caviar inventory that has not been sold since last year.
