China's salmon imports reached a historic high of 22,534 tons in the first quarter of 2024. By comparison, the highest record for the third quarter of 2023 was 21,903 tons.  Although the total import value in the first quarter slightly decreased to $296.22 million, an increase of 16% year-on-year, reaching 22,534 tons. Norway remains the main supplier, followed by Australia and Chile.
